Die Verwandlung (Chicken Version) / Metamorphosis (Chicken Version) is a pictogram sequence I made during my studies @ HSLU DFK BA Graphic Design. Starting from the task of designing a pictogram for a rubber glove I came up with the idea of a rubber glove initiateing the metamorphosis into a chicken. The design process started analog and with sketches I started to simplify the forms but ensure, that they still capture the essence of a rubber glove. It was essential, that the pictograms work in a small size but are still interesting to look at on a bigger scale. Lastly the pictograms were riso-printed on neon paper. Due to the way the paper is folded it functions as an envelope for a rubber glove.
