The book makes the design archive of the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich accessible through the design-related and non-design-related perspectives of eight individuals of different age groups, who have curated their own collections from the museum's holdings. When design icons are placed alongside seemingly mundane everyday objects, it becomes clear: design is everywhere. The collections are presented as image spreads, interrupted by texts that provide information about the museum, its history and its work.
This project was developed during my studies at HSLU DFK, in collaboration with the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich. Honoring the 150th anniversary of the Swiss Design Collection, we had the opportunity to use footage from the museum's archive and come up with a unique approach to open the collection up to the public.
